About Us

Cowal Council on Alcohol & Drugs (CCAD) is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. CCAD is funded by public and private grants and funding streams and, as part of the voluntary sector, does not make any profits.

Vision

To improve the lives of those affected by drug and alcohol use in Dunoon and Cowal and be recognised in Scotland as the leader within the voluntary sector for service delivery in rural towns.

Values

We are a client-centred organisation that respects all clients and strives to support each client in accordance with their own plans for personal development.

We are a community based organisation that values its reputation and standing with the local community.

We recognise the importance of working with partner agencies to the benefit of our clients.

All services are offered free of charge to our clients and we aim to be fully inclusive of all potential clients.

We aim to ensure the best use of our funds by delivering evidence based services and making appropriate use of outcome measures to monitor performance.

We will nurture our employee and volunteer team and introduce measures to promote job satisfaction.

We strive to exceed emerging standards at local, national, and international level and aim to keep ahead of statutory requirements and the requirements of funding bodies.
